HOW do you turn a sock into a dinosaur?

That was the magical challenge facing Year Two children at Dearham School last week when Silloth author and illustrator Tim Stead came to call.

He read his books, Dinoshakes and Bellyaches and Fat Bat anda Strange Woolly Hat to the class.

He then set the challenge of turning the drawing of a sock into a dinosaur when the paper is turned upside down.

The rest of the school were able to meet the author at an assembly during the day and he returned later to meet parents and sign books.

A percentage of his earnings go to the CFM children's charity, Cash for Kids.
