Entries are open for a charity walk which is celebrating 40 years.

Organisers of the Workington To Keswick walk are hoping to have a record number of participants to mark the milestone.

The walk on March 19 will be raising money for Hospice At Home West Cumbria, Allerdale Disability Association and The Henderson Suite at West Cumberland Hospital.

Organisers also make smaller donations to organisations who help on the day such as Workington British Legion, Seaton Scouts, Buttermere Village Hall and Maryport Inshore Rescue.

The 32-mile course starts at the Workington British Legion between 7.30am-8.30am and finishes at Keswick Rugby Club, going through Ullock, Lorton, Buttermere, Honister Pass, Seatoller and Rosthwaite.

Minimum entry fee is £40.

People will be able to collect their entry number and hand in sponsorships the day before the walk from 10am to 4pm in Barts of Workington on Jane Street.
