A review of Cockermouth's Georgian Fair has been sparked by a lack of volunteers.
The event's committee held its AGM recently and chairman David Cornwall said: "Regrettably there were no new faces and obviously we are getting a little bit older.
"Most of us have been involved in the five fairs since the beginning.
"We have re-elected the committee and are initialising a review of both the Georgian Fair and what we do.
"We are aware that we need to review what we offer so are going to think about how we move forward."
He said they planned to talk to some other heritage groups in the town, such as the civic trust, the National Trust and the heritage officer at the Kirkgate Centre, to see if they could maybe work together.
He added: "We can probably broaden what we do, we are open to discussion."
