The funeral of alleged murder victim Daniel McMullen drew hundreds of mourners.

Mr McMullen, 29, of Beech Court, Workington, died after being found injured at his home on January 7.

St Michael's Church was near capacity as Mr McMullen's coffin was carried in, topped with flowers in the shape of a snooker table and a dart board, reflecting two of his passions.

Mr McMullen's older brother Steven was among those who carried his coffin into the church, with mourners including his twin brother Andrew walking behind.

The Rev Canon Bryan Rowe, leading the service, said Mr McMullen was being laid to rest wearing his beloved Manchester United football shirt.

The service was followed by interment at Salterbeck Cemetery and a wake at Workington's Royal British Legion, where Daniel was a regular and played on the snooker and darts teams.
