Fourteen young musicians will take part in their first band concert next week in Cockermouth.
The youngsters, aged eight to 14, are members of The Cockermouth Mechanics Apprentice Band and will be playing at the Methodist Hall, Lorton Street at 7pm on Monday. Entry is free.
A few adult apprentices will also be taking part in the concert being conducted by Robert McCallum.
Band member Jill Smith said: "It's their very first concert. They have been learning as part of the general band but wanted to do a bit of a concert to get used to performing in front of people.
"Their families will be watching and hopefully other people interested in joining the band."
The band will be playing next month with Castlegate Singers.
