From carers to parents, sporting heroes to volunteers, there are so many inspirational people who help others and make life better for those around them.
And the West Cumbria Community Heroes Awards aim to recognise the work of these heroic people.
We want you to nominate those who you think deserve plaudits for the way they’ve helped you, excelled in their field or an organisation or business that goes the extra mile – but you must be quick, as entries close next week!
Categories such as the carer and young carer of the year aim to recognise an unpaid worker whose efforts in providing care to someone else are particularly exceptional.
Cumbrians are renowned for looking after each other, but the good neighbour of the year seeks to recognise people who have gone out of their way to be a great neighbour.
The unsung hero of the year award is designed to pay tribute to inspirational individuals who have gone that extra mile to help their community.
There are 13 categories in all, which recognise the efforts of kind-hearted West Cumbrians worthy of an award.
It’s easy to nominate someone. Find the appropriate category or categories and tell us why your nominee should win on our form:
The closing date is Friday, September 23, and the awards ceremony will be held in November.
