Festive cheer is coming to Maryport tomorrow for the town's Christmas lights switch-on.
The celebrations begin at 1pm.
A Taste Cumbria market will be held on Senhouse Street and there will also be fairground attractions and a stage for entertainment.
One of the highlights will be provided by Mel, of Soul City Walkers, the Carlisle group that have wowed audiences at the blues.
There is plenty of home grown talent, too, from the amateur operatic society preparing for its Christmas concert, Steve Falcon, Maryport Junior Choir and Maryport Dance Group.
Round Table will unveil its new Santa sleigh and there will be plenty of activities for children.
Santa has organised a pop-up grotto on the stage in Maryport Labour Club where charity stalls will also be set up.
Children's art and craft activities, face painting and glitter tattoos are in the council chambers in the town hall and there will be free tea and coffee and mulled wine and mince tarts provided by the Golden Lion.
The town council has provided a new decoration for the space next to the Original Factory Shop and has extended the lights on Curzon Street.
