A Seaton mum is organising a children’s party for those parents who cannot afford holidays during half-term.

Abigail Hewitt, 22, is organising the Prince And Princess Tea Party on June 1 at Seaton Village Hall.

Abigail, who has a four-year-old daughter Heidi-Joy, said: “I’m a single parent and only work part-time. I can’t afford to go on holiday and many other parents can’t either, so I thought I’d bring a holiday to the community.

“I’m not making any money out of this, I just want the community to get together.”

Imagination Parties will provide the entertainment on the day and children can come in fancy dress if they wish.

Abigail said: “We also have four special guests coming along. I’ve started off doing little parties at home during the holidays. Last time I had 14 children and my house isn’t that big.

“I’m doing it also for my daughter so she can have a fun day playing with other children.”

Food and drinks are provided on the day.

The party takes place at the Causeway Road venue from 10am to 2pm and cost per child is £2 to pay on the door.
