TWO new bus shelters have been officially opened on Derwent Drive in Workington.
The shelters, outside Morrisons, were installed by Cumbria County Council and will be maintained by Workington Town Council.
Workington mayor Joan Wright and Councillor Alan Barry, of Cumbria County Council, cut a ribbon to officially open the shelters.
Coun Barry said: "This is an important partnership between the two councils and we are so pleased we have been able to provide these much needed bus shelters for the community."
Coun Wright said: "It is great that we can work together to serve the community."
