A Blennerhasset woman has joined the board of a charitable trust.
Joanne Thomlinson, 30, is a new trustee for the Joyce Wilkinson Trust.
It was created by Joyce Wilkinson, of Westward near Wigton, who died in 2005.
She left much of her estate to create an endowed charitable trust to support community activities in and around her home.
Joyce was a farmer’s widow and her charitable trust fund, which was £1.2 million when she died, was predominantly invested in farm properties. It is now valued at more than £3 million.
