Let's dance! A new Workington music festival has been launched that celebrates tribute acts.

Reboot, on April 30 at the town's Zebra Claims Stadium, will be headlined by David Bowie tribute Aladdinsane, paying tribute to the Thin White Duke, who died earlier this month.

Paul Henderson began his career as Bowie on ITV show Stars in the Their Eyes in the 1990s.

His impression of the singer led him to forming Aladdinsane and the band cover Bowie's back catalogue.

They have been called Europe's finest Bowie tribute.

Also on the bill are Red Hot Chilli Peppers soundalikes, the Really Hot Chilli Peppers, The Fillers, who perform songs by The Killers, Oasish and Stereotonics.

It is being organised by CN Events.

Marie Whitehead, director, said: "The quality of the tribute acts is amazing and Reboot will give West Cumbria a taste of how a stellar line-up of some of the world’s best loved acts sound for a fraction of the price of travelling and seeing them on tour."

There will also be children's activities, fairground rides, an acoustic stage and food stalls.

Tickets are available online from www.cnevents.co.uk, www.skiddle.com, the Carnegie Theatre in Workington, Billy Bowman Music in Cockermouth and the Times & Star in Workington.

They are £17.50 for adults, £10 for 11 to 17-year-olds and under-10s go free.

It has also been funded by Allerdale council, Nuclear Management Partners and GLL.
