Seaton is looking for talents to compete in its own contest.

Choir director and music teacher Michael Milner is calling on singers, dancers, comedians and performers of all kinds to take part in the second Seaton's Got Talent.

The competition is due to take place at the village's Royal British Legion and people have time to apply until May 13.

Mr Milner said: "The competition is open to all amateur performers who are residents of Seaton.

"Who knows this could be the first step to bigger and better things. Unlike The X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent, entrants will not be subjected to any criticism.

"We welcome anyone to come along and have a go at this fun and all inclusive event."

The competition is sponsored by Seaton Parish Council and Seaton Village Choir.

The over 16s entries will be in for a chance to win £200 donated by Seaton Parish Council. Children up to and including 15 years of age can win a prize of £100 sponsored by Seaton Village Choir.

A further prize will also be awarded to a soloist or group at the discretion of the judges.

Entry is free and forms are available from Mr Milner by calling 01900 61268.

The event will take place on May 26 at 7pm and admission is £2.
