The winners of Seaton's Grow the Biggest Sunflower competition have been announced.
The competition launched by Seaton Parish Council saw children of the village's schools growing a sunflower over the summer with seeds donated by the council.
Maddie Hunter, 10, and sister Cassie, 11, were joint winners from Seaton Junior School.
Cassie is now in year seven at St Joseph's School in Workington.
Each of their sunflowers measured 2.79m.
The winner for Seaton Academy was five-year-old Millie Rooke with a 1.95m tall sunflower.
The children were presented with a picture of themselves with the flower and a token gift by council chairman Lily Harwood.
