Sunny Silloth didn't disappoint as thousands of people turned out to make the town's annual Green Day a roaring success.
The popular event, held today, is one of Silloth's days of the year in the town and offers a huge cash boost to the town's legion of traders.
Visitors were queuing into the street as ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops were inundated with hoards of customers.
They'd all made their way to the Green, which has pride of place on Silloth's sea front, for the event featuring a host of family fun activities.
Gini McClure brought her three grandchildren, Dylan, five, Mason, five, and Rose, two, from Crosby, near Maryport, to Silloth Green Day.
"We've been before and we all enjoyed it, the kids absolutely love it," she said.
"They've liked going to the kids fair and all had a fantastic time. The best bit for them though has been the water park."
In the centre of the Green was an arena for a dog and duck display, a new feature at this year's event, and the popular dog show.
This year's show featured competitions for the waggiest tail, best condition, dog most like its owner, best legs, best rescue dog, fancy dress, best veteran, surprise, best tricks and judges' choice to take home.
The day is organised by the Friends of Silloth Green, with support from the Silloth Tourism Action Group (STAG).
