WEST Cumbria’s Dementia Walk will be held on Sunday.
Anyone who has been affected in some way by dementia will have the chance to talk to others, tie “leaves” onto a memory tree explaining why they are taking part and get information about
The walk will leave the Wave Centre on Irish Street, Maryport, at 11am.
Organiser Catherine Coulson, who is walking in memory of her grandmother, Kathleen Markland, said she hoped people would arrive early to enjoy a cuppa and to mingle with other people who have had family or friends diagnosed with dementia.
There will be information from various organisations on display including Maryport Dementia Action Alliance, Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK and Allerdale council.
