A Workington church has been sold at auction.
The Seamen's Bethel church, on Falcon Street, was sold by Auction House Cumbria for £27,000.
A bethel was a church or hostel for sailors and this building has a 1889 date stone.
It was turned into a church 17 years ago, but rising running costs forced it to close last month.
The auction took place at Carlisle Racecourse on Thursday and bidding started at £10,000.
