A Workington Town player is helping to raise funds for the family of his teammate.

Callum Phillips, 24, who also plays for Scotland, is auctioning off the shirt that Danny Brough wore in the Scotland v New Zealand Four Nations clash in Workington earlier this month.

The money raised will go towards supporting the family of Natalli Fisher, the mother-of-two left with serious injuries suffered when she was struck by a car while crossing the busy A596 near Dunmail Park last month.

Natalli, 35, of Cape Road, Seaton, has a 14-year-old son, Billy, and a six-year-old daughter, Gabrielle.

Her brother-in-law Carl Forber plays for Workington Town.

Callum is a former player of Seaton Rangers and he grew up in the village.

The auction, on Callum's Facebook page, has so far reached £800 thanks to the offer of an anonymous bidder.

The fundraising appeal was launched last month by Mandy Quinn, a friend of the Fisher family, and has so far reached over £5,500, against an initial target of £2,500.
