Workington mum wins £100 in Mother's Day competition
A Workington mum won a £100 gift voucher thanks to her daughter's nomination in a Mother's Day competition.
Helen Bennett won the Mum In A Million competition run by Workington's supermarket branch of Asda at the weekend.
Her daughter Laura-Jade said: "She is such a caring person who has selflessly looked after anyone in need over the years - she deserves a treat.
"She is always happy to help friends, family members and winning the Mum In A Million competition was a real honour for her."
Aaron Rigg, deputy store manager at the Dunmail Park supermarket, said: "We want our store to be at the heart of the community and we are thrilled to be involved in recognising a deserving mum in the area. Well done to Helen."
