Hundreds of young people had fun in Maryport on Wednesday.
A fun day was organised by Maryport Town Council and Maryport Joint Schools' Council on land behind the Shiver Me Timbers playground on the town's harbour.
Youngsters marvelled at Martini's magic show, had their faces painted and glitter tattoos on their arms then took to the bouncy castle and fairground rides.
Now in its third year, Lisa Douglas, town clerk, said the idea was to provide cost-effective family entertainment during the summer holidays.
She added: "It's always well-attended so it's important for Maryport."
Pupil at schools in Maryport and surrounding villages were given flyers at the end of term which included free vouchers for refreshments and to use the entertainment on the day.
Children who do not attend Maryport schools or wanted more free entertainment could complete a Pokemon hunt to earn extra vouchers.
Town mayor Linda Radcliffe was raising awareness and money for Flimby youngster Jack Gibson, who has leukaemia, at the event with a raffle.
She said: "It brings the community together and gives people a chance to interact with others they might not normally see."
