Maryport Bluestars Cheerleading Squad clinched 19 trophies on their debut at an ICC competition in Blackpool earlier this month.
A group of West Cumbrian youngsters have something to cheer about after they clinched 19 trophies on their cheerleading competition debut.
Maryport Bluestars Cheerleading Squad, who train and practise at Netherhall Community Sports Centre in Maryport and Studio Nine in Moorclose, Workington, competed in the ICC competition at Blackpool's Norbeck Castle earlier this month.
It was the first time the girls had taken part in the event but they came away with 19 trophies including first places in the mini solo, youth solo, youth jazz duo, senior solo, senior jazz duo and senior jazz group classes.
