The property developer Salmon Harvester has applied for planning permission to build an 86,500 sq ft office building in Borehamwood.
The seven-storey office block will be built on a 1.8 acre site at the corner of Elstree Way and Warwick Road. It will feature air conditioning and parking for 313 cars.
If the company is granted planning permission it intends to move its headquarters into the building, and other companies will be invited to rent space.
Doug Stewart, a director at Salmon Harvester, said: "Borehamwood is a much underrated location, despite its excellent road and rail links."
