JLS gig blow for Cumbrian teenage tumour battler

A Maryport teenager who is battling a brain tumour has been left devastated after boy band JLS cancelled their Carlisle gig.

Have your say

Aww that's really sad! I pray she gets well soon and is made whole in Jesus' mighty name! Amen!.. And that she'd one day get to meet them in person even!

Sell all of those JLS dolls, posters, CDs and T-shirts, then you'll (four of you)be able to go to scarborough.

I just wanna start by saying whilst I do not like JLS I do not have a problem with them and when I heard that they’d cancelled their Carlisle gig I thought fair enough, I know how it feels for a band you love to cancel but I also know they’ll have their reasons, public or otherwise.
However it is NOT okay for this article to hate on JLS because they’ve cancelled a gig for reasons they saw suitable by saying that JLS have let down a cancer patient. From the way this article is written its like they could be blaming her deteriorating condition on their absence! These people have lives outside their fans, all bands do and they’re grateful for the fans they get but it is unfair to say you’ve let down a dying cancer patient as a way of guilt tripping a band who can’t play!

I know that JLS do a lot for sick children, they obviously are devastated that they had to cancel the gig, and they would never cancel a gig if they didn't absolutely have to!
