ALLIED Worldwide maintained their lead at the top of the Premier Division of the Wycombe and District League by taking maximum points from their visit to Chalfont B.

However Den could leapfrog them if they take advantage of their two games in hand.

The only resistance to Allied came from Chalfont's Peter Schmid who won two of his games.

But the leaders proved too strong with Tim Heaps taking a maximum and Chris Haines and Paul Savage winning two each to earn Allied an 8-2 victory.

Elsewhere, if Chalfont A hopes of a championship challenge all but vanished as they dropped two points against Hazlemere A.

Mark Schofield won three and Gerald Finesilver two on the way to a 6-4 victory.

Hazlemere picked up two valuable points with this result but still lie third from bottom. Mark Croucher claimed two wins for the side.

In Division Three there were two games between promotion chasing sides.

Hazlemere E got the better of Three Wise Men with a 7-3 victory.

A good all-round performance from Hazlemere's Bas Macharratie (3), Iain McNab (2) and Mark Rhodes (2) seeing off their rivals.

Hazlemere D had less luck though in their match with Stargoat B which saw seven out of the ten games go to three legs.

Stargoat won the lion's share of them and the match 6-4. Brian Brown, Jim McWilliams and Cuzh Collins sharing out the games with two wins each.

Harlequins stay top though with a 7-3 win over Apollo F.
