Maryport Blues Festival's trail this weekend is one of the biggest ever in the event's history.

PRESENT: Maryport group AWOL – Matty Peen, Dean Newton and Stephen Jackson – are one of the act on this year’s trail

There are 17 venues taking part, including a new mini-trail, and over 40 bands playing.

The trail this year includes two outdoor stages, at Maryport Rugby Club on Mealpot Road and next to the Wave Centre on Irish Street.

The Bounty in Victory Crescent and the Bowling Club and Social Club on Mealpot Road have joined in to create a mini-trail.

Trail venues are: the Lake District Coastal Aquarium, the Bounty, the Bowling Club, the Captain Nelson, the Golden Lion, Grasslot Working Men's Club, Her Citi, Labour Club, Lifeboat, Maryport Social Club, Maryport Rugby League club (inside), Maryport Rugby League Club outdoor stage, the Navy Club, Netherhall Rugby Club, the Sailor's Return, the Wave Centre (outside) and the Wave Centre (cafe).

All main stage events are in the Wave Centre theatre.

Trail bands include Babajack, Armadillo Blues, AWOL, LR Phoenix, 13 Stars, Dr Blue, Dave and Boswell, Cindy Hoten, Hooson, Junkhouse Dog, Fuschi 4, Chris James, Balmoral Road.

Cry Baby and Hoochie Coochie Boys, Lewis Hamilton and the Boogie Brothers, Little Stevie and The Business, Maggie Ross, Main Street Blues, Mike McKeon, Nat Martin Band, Olly Alcock, Paddy McGuire, Pete Leigh and the Union, Rabbit Foot.

Russ Tippins, Secure Unit, Shore, Snakewater, Trevor Sewell, The Pulse, Ex Lepers, Crooked Dice, Stormcrow, Sneaky Finch, Five and Dangerous, Dawson, Raw Deal, Mildhearts, Delivo, Sarah and the Stormchasers and the Liam Tarpey Band.

Wrist bands for the trail are available from the Wave Centre at £6 per day or £15 for the weekend.
