the passing of our brother graham,has broken our hearts,graham had been ill for a while, over the last couple of months,but we never expected anything like this to happen,its a massive tragedy for our family, he loved his family,and would do anything for us,he has been through some very hard times especially being ill for such along time due to him having kidney disease,that left him fighting for his life,a couple of times,but he was a fighter,and he won the fight to live again,he got a new lease of life after finally getting a kidney transplant he so desperately needed,but first before he got his new kidney, he had too endure being on a dialysis machine for years,which took its toll on him,he had to travel to newcastle,three to four days a week,getting up at five in the morning to get there for 7,oclock,he would do four hours dialysing,then come back home,he did that for such along time,but never did he whinge,he just said i will get on with it,which he did,he was so ill but it never stopped him doing the things he wanted to do,he would still get to goodison park to watch his beloved everton,when really he should have been at home resting,it didnt stop him from getting to the match he followed everton through thick and thin,goodison was a place he loved,a place that was is second home, is love for fooball was unbelievable,his knowledge of the game was fantastic,he knew what he was talking about,also in his life was another great sport speedway,he loved it he would travel everywhere to watch the comets,another was workington reds,for whom he signed for when under the management of george aitken,graham was good footballer,and an excellent coach,he had so many friends in his life,it would take you a year to write them all down,he was loved by all who knew him,he leaves his loving partner,val and his fifteen year old daughter sarah,who is being so brave,they both idolised him,and his two other great loves,his sons graham jnr,and kevin,are devastated,but they are facing up to the task of preparing there fathers funeral with pride,graham would be so proud of see his lads the way they are going about things at this difficult time,to make his funeral run as smoothly as they possibly can,and there is no doubt they will.finally, we his brothers,barry,les,chris,dougie,neale, and the rest of the caton family, shall never forget you graham you were one in a million and we are devastated at losing you,life for us will never be the same.until we meet again brother,RIP

I am stunned at reading of Graham's passing. I knew him and his family all of my life. We were like family. I travelled and lived overseas from the late 70's and re connected with Graham 10 years ago during a visit home. This news leaves me shocked and saddened. It's like losing a brother.
