Alan Reay has been re-elected as mayor of Aspatria.
Mr Reay, 71, of Brayton Park, Aspatria, has served on the council since the 1990s, taking a four year break in the middle.
He told the town council on Tuesday that the past year had seen many highlights including establishment of the Victoria Park playground and the town’s successful fight to keep the Park Lodge care home open.
He said he was looking ahead to a busy June. The town council is organising a Queen’s diamond jubilee fun day on June 5, with the town gala on Saturday, June 9, and the Olympic torch relay through the town on Thursday, June 21.
Mr Reay’s deputy is Coun Dee Turner, 66, of North View.
