Apartment plan for West Cumbrian brewery site

Plans to create 16 apartments next to Cockermouth’s Jennings Brewery have been revealed.

Have your say

Yeoman - the brewery is not leaving the town. The proposal is to use the empty maltings building - the brewery is on the other side of the road. No jobs lost unless Marstons have other plans.

Another industrial plant and works gone from the area. The average age in this county is getting higher although we are not living longer. This is because their is little work for our children and they are having to leave the county. Older (retired) are cumming into the county to retire in a low pollution and tranquil area.

Delighted to hear this, it is a special building and this will bring it to life. Well done Jennings.
