It was another Saturday of postponements in the Tesco Cumberland league as a sharp frost frozen pitches.
Only three games went ahead at Silloth, Windscale and Parton were playable.
Silloth beat Whitehaven AFC 3-1 with Andrew Hardman, Dan Brough and Adam Carr getting the home goals and Gregg Quayle netting for the visitors.
Windscale also recorded another home win as Wigton Athletic went down 2-0 at the Falcon Ground - Shaun Pollen and Zac Starkie scoring the all important goals.
Parton Utd and Harraby Catholic Club also did battle but only just as the referee had called it off.
But after a bit of work and a bit more sun on the pitch it finally kicked off.
Parton will wish they had took the ref’s advice as an Ian Armstrong goal gave the visitors the lead which Johathen Knott then doubled.
Parton hit back through Callum Circuite scored but Armstrong got his second to make it 3-1 which was how it finished but only after Parton hit the post from the penalty spot.
