The house, which has been renovated to a high standard in a popular residential estate, is split level with a single storey at the front and two storeys at the back.

A new owner could add on at the front, creating another level with two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Owner Cheryl Glaister said: "The kitchen, which is big anyway, could also be extended. The architect plans are drawn up and it has all been approved by the council and is ready to go.

"When we sell the house we’re quite happy to hand the plans over if anyone wanted them. We're moving as we want more space and we’ve found someone who will build us a house and give us the keys which we think is better when you have young children."

Cheryl and her husband Brian have loved living in Elizabeth Crescent for the past seven years.

"Our friends used to own this house," she said. "We visited them frequently and got to know the area. It’s a beautiful and quiet location. We were thinking of starting a family at the time and this was just where we wanted to be."

The couple, who both work at Sellafield, now have two lovely children, Oliver, five, and Macey, two, who each have their own bedroom in the three-bedroom house - Oliver even has his own en-suite - and they both love playing in the large first-floor lounge and secluded back garden.

"We’ve updated the accommodation since we came here, renewed bathrooms and flooring and generally just modernised, along with decorating," Cheryl said.

"We’ve changed the garage into a gym for our personal use and the cars go on the driveway which can fit at least four cars.

"The house is split-level and was built for the views. We’re on a hill and our living room is upstairs so we can see over to the sea and also have a lovely green outlook with trees, it’s beautiful."

The dining kitchen has a range of wall and floor units, integrated appliances including fridge and freezer, combined microwave-grill, washing machine and dishwasher, a large breakfast bar and Karndean flooring.

The three bedrooms are on the ground floor, one with an en-suite shower room and the master with a sliding door to the outside. The four-piece bathroom with shower cubicle and free-standing bathroom is also on the ground floor.

The living room on the first floor is 21ft by 18ft and has two windows, a feature fireplace, spotlights and storage.

"This is my favourite room," Cheryl said. "I’s a lovely family area and there aren’t many houses that will have a living room this size where everyone can congregate. It’s ideal for the kids and is popular with family members who come to visit."

The gardens are lawned with paved areas and are low maintenance. "There are shrubs and flowers in the front but it is just grassed and flagged at the back with trees at the bottom so it’s nice and secluded.

"One of the things we’ll miss is the wonderful people we’ve met here," Cheryl said. "The area is beautiful, so quiet and safe for the children, but we will dearly miss the people around us, they are fantastic. This place is ideal for a family."
