Social Media for Business
Lakes College, Lillyhall Business Park, Ca14 4JN
September 14th 1pm-4.30pm
This half day conference will show you how social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn can help your business.
And every business attending will get the chance to have a free advert on the News & Star website which is visited by over 200,000 people every month.
The event will be an ideal starting point for any business or organisation wondering how they should use social media to raise their profile.
And if you've already taken your first steps in Facebook and Twitter come along and share your experience with those businesses that have already reaped the rewards of a successful social media strategy. You’ll come away with lots of tips about how to increase your social media audience and harness its power to grow your business.
Sessions include an overview of social media, practical tips on increasing your social media audience with Cumbrian Newspaper's digital strategy manager Nick Turner and a look at the legal dos and don'ts surrounding social media.
Cumbrian social media entrepreneur and trainer Paul Teague will also lead a session on making the most of Facebook pages.
Cumbrian Newspapers is holding the event in association with Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster and Armstrong Watson.
After presentations and a Q&A session with the panel in the lecture theatre there will be a chance to network and discuss social media with our "digital champions" - local businesses who have already made a success of social media.
Laptops will be available so that you can get practical advice on using Facebook, Twitter, etc.
If you need more details or have any questions go please email Nick Turner at nturner@cngroup.co.uk
