The West Cumbria Youth Football League made a welcome return at the weekend following lockdown.

In the under-12 league, Workington Reds Juniors started with a bang, beating Cockermouth Juniors 9-0, while Maryport Amateurs Red side won 9-2 at home to Cleator Moor Celtic.

Bransty Rangers edged out Whitehaven Miners Social 4-3 and Seaton Athletic were 9-0 victors at Silloth. Whitehaven AFC Blues won 9-1 over Grassroad Sharks while St Bees beat Whitehaven AFC Yellows 7-5.

In the under-13 league there was an opening win for Workington Reds Blacks who defeated Dearham Orange 8-2, while Seaton Village drew 3-3 with St Bees.

Maryport Amateurs recorded a 9-0 score against Moor Row Reds, Cockermouth Real beat Seaton United 3-1 and Workington Reds Whites won 6-0 at home to Bransty. In all all Whitehaven AFC tie, the Yellows beat the Blues 7-1.

Turning to the under-14 league, Whitehaven AFC Yellows were 9-0 victors at Dearham Oranges, while Whitehaven's Blue team won 5-2 at St Bees.

Maryport Amateurs edged out Workington Reds' Blacks 2-1 while Whitehaven AFC Yellows beat Workington Reds' Whites 2-0.

Moor Row Reds won 9-0 against St Bees while Maryport Amateurs clinched a 9-3 victory over Whitehaven AFC Blues.

Dearham Oranges bagged a 2-1 win at Moor Row Blacks.

There were five games in the under-15 league with Whitehaven Blues and Seaton United drawing 3-3 and Bransty recording a 9-0 win over Cockermouth United.

Seaton Athletic were on the wrong side of an 8-0 win by Cleator Moor Celtic, while Senhouse Juniors beat Whitehaven Miners 7-5 and Windscale Juniors defeated Workington Reds 3-1.

There was just two games in the under-16 league as Workington Rangers beat Workington Reds' Blacks 9-0 and Cleator Moor Celtic were 7-0 victors at Dearham Rangers.

At under-18 level Workington Wanderers U17s had two wins, beating Workington Reds 6-4, and Maryport Amateurs 4-1. Bransty won 7-4 at home to Cockermouth Panthers while Maryport Athletic clinched a 4-1 win over Abbeytown Juniors.

In the under-14 girls league Whitehaven U13s beat Allerdale Pumas 5-0, Moor Row beat Cockermouth 7-3 and Whitehaven U14s bagged an 8-1 win over Workington Diamonds.

The under-12 girls red division saw Allerdale Tigers edge out Whitehaven U11 Blues 3-2, Whitehaven U12s win 6-0 over Workington Diamonds and Cockermouth Blues beat Moor Row Reds 2-1.

In the blue division, Allerdale Panthers beat Whitehaven U11 Yellows 6-4 while Moor Row Blacks just edged out Workington Diamonds 4-3.
