ELLENBOROUGH are through to the final of the E Lamb & Son Amateur Cup.
But they must wait to find who they will meet as the other semi, Cockermouth v Seaton, was postponed.
In their semi, Ellenborough enjoyed an 18-0 victory over neighbours Maryport.
Andy Sawyers, Jamie Watson, Kyle Lofthouse and Darren Branthwaite charged over for Ellenborough and Eddie Robinson kicked a goal.
In the John Smith’s Cumberland League division one leaders Kells continue to carry all before them and added the scalp of Glasson with a 56-4 success.
The Whitehaven outfit, 28-4 ahead at the interval, never looked like losing their 100 per cent record and registered two tries each for Lee Kiddie and Stephen McGrady, while Stephen Kirkbride, Gary Fox, David Dickinson, Carl Schofield, Shaun Flanagan and Paul Cullnean also crossed and Ryan Robb kicked eight goals. Greg Rowley scored Glasson’s try.
Title hopefuls Hensingham, meanwhile, won 74-2 at bottom side Great Clifton, thanks to a hat-trick for Mark Pearson and a brace each for Reece Fox, Jonathan Hutchinson, Kyle Amor and David Phillips. Lewis Salmon and Gavin Maudling also touched down, Jamie Sharp kicked six goals, and Craig McAvoy landed five conversions.
Clifton could only muster a penalty by Nicky Burgess. The victory leaves Hensingham five points behind Kells, having played one more game and with only three fixtures remaining.
The division two clash between Frizington and Salterbeck Storm succumbed to an unfit pitch, while in the same section, Egremont were unable to raise a team for the trip to Lowca.
