A FUNDRAISING effort towards the £7,500 needed for five members of Maryport rugby league club to tour Australia is being held tomorrow.

Players Daniel Rooney and Mark Foster, coach Martin Oglanby and physio Stephen Lister are to tour with the Cumbria squad.

And player Patrick Vaughan is going on the Barla U18 tour. Both tours are in the summer and the itineraries are still being organised.

Tomorrow’s event is in Maryport’s clubhouse on Mealpot Road and involves a leg wax followed by a race night and disco.

All five of the Oz tourists are up for the leg waxing which starts at approximately 6.30pm after the last league match of the season. The race night starts at 7.30pm. Anyone can attend and admission is free.
