Workington Comets star Ricky Wells has capped his remarkable season with second place in Wolverhampton's traditional Olympique individual meeting.

It is the second notable runner-up finish for Wells in as many months, after the American trailed Ulrich Ostergaard in the Premier League Riders' Championship last month.

The Comets No1, who rides for Wolverhampton in the Elite League, was beaten to the prize by his Monmore Green teammate Freddie Lindgren, but finished ahead of grand prix star Chris Harris in a star-studded line-up which also included Kyle Howarth.
