Comets entertain a Bears side tonight (7pm start) who demolished local rivals Newcastle on Thursday night and boast a number of Derwent Park track experts.
But Morgan hopes her team will take confidence from last Saturday’s win over the Diamonds, which forced a cup replay, and a vital league point away at Glasgow, to continue their winning start at home.
Morgan said: “Both of our matches last weekend saw some great speedway and a good team performance with everyone playing their part over the weekend.
“Craig continued the incredible form that he has shown so far this season but everyone else stepped up to the plate when it mattered and, to be honest, we were a little unlucky at times; so it could have been even better.
“Those performances showed what we can do and we all believe that there is much more still to come from this team once we really get into the season. But the riders, management and supporters were all very encouraged by last weekend’s performances and now we need to keep that momentum going."
“The visit of Redcar will provide another tough challenge and, with their strong heat leader trio, we will certainly have to be at our best once again if we are to take the points," she added.
“We have said it before and we will say it again; there are no easy matches in the Championship and every point has to be earned in what is looking like being the most competitive season for many years.”
After tonight’s meeting, a six-heat Northern Junior League fixture will be held between Northside Stars and Redcar Cubs, with future Comet Kyle Bickley representing the Stars.
