It was touch-and-go at times but Workington Comets got the job done against Scunthorpe Scorpions with a 48-45 victory to make it two league wins from two meetings.
Visiting captain Michael Palm Toft showed why Workington signed him two years ago with a thrilling display to ensure Comets had to battle until the end.
Mason Campton may have put his mechanical gremlins behind him with a strong performance, while Rob Shuttleworth notched his first race win for the club and Craig Cook was reliable as ever.
