Edinburgh Monarchs reigned supreme as Workington Comets felt the absence of captain Craig Cook to go down 52-40 on the road.
Former Monarch Cook would surely have bettered guest Steve Worrall’s paltry paid four points on a rare off-night for the ex-Edinburgh rider, but his team-mates dug deep to put in a respectable showing at what has been an unhappy hunting ground for Workington in recent years.
Thomas Jorgensen overcame his recent bike problems to score double figures, while Mason Campton and Matt Williamson also continued to thrive with impressive wins on one of the league's most unforgiving tracks.
