AS Workington Comets enter its 40th anniversary year this season, we want to hear your favourite memories and goodwill messages for the side.
Speedway has been an important feature of Workington - and West Cumbrian - life and we would love to hear from anyone who has had a connection with Comets, has been a lifelong fan or just wants to send the riders all the best for 2010!
We'd also love to see any photos from days gone gone past - they might even feature in a supplement we're planning later this year!

I met my future partner of 20yrs at the speedway in the early 1970s. even tho he thought i was my sister !.we then travelled the length and breadth of britain following the team . great days .
