Three of the four North Lancs & Cumbria Premier League games were washed out at the weekend, the Dalton v Keswick game the only one to survive the wet weather.

Put in to bat, Keswick were always struggling against the Dalton attack. Skipper Arran Davies, with 34, and pro Geeth Kumara, 32, were the only batsmen to make more than 20, and they helped Keswick to an all out total of 122 in the 47th over.

Dalton’s Marc Gibson, 3-24, and Lewis Woodend, 3-39, were the top wicket takers.

Dalton openers, Rob Jones, 46, and Jack Singleton, 38 not out, gave their side an excellent start and, with support from Joe Braund-Smith, 16 not out, saw Dalton to 125-1 in the 34th over, and 10 important points.

Carlisle v Cleator and Wigton v Furness saw no play at all, Workington making 3-0 at Cockermouth before the heavens opened. All six teams received four points.

In Division One, Workington II were put in to bat by visitors Millom, and lost their first wicket with only 14 on the board.

A good recovery took them to 91-4 but the lower order made a poor contribution and Workington were all out for 133 in the 47th over.

Callum Sutton top-scored with 31 while Millom’s Paul O’Callaghan returned 6-11 in only eight overs.

The visitors’ reply started well, and they were 100-3, but lost three more wickets before going on to win in the 38th over, at 134-6. Danny Fallows top-scored with 39.

Workington’s David Pearce, 3-27 in 11.5 overs, and Ben Scott, 3-32 in 9 overs, took the wickets.

In first against Ulverston, Whitehaven made 239-6, pro Mo Yasin making an unbeaten 118.

In reply, Ulverston made 148-9, Yasin finishing a good day at the office with 4-36.

Seascale were all out for 123 against Haverigg, Adam Brown top scoring with 47 as Dalton Polius claimed 4-27.

Haverigg reached 124 for the loss of six wickets, Polius adding 29 runs to an all-round performance. Seascale's Daniel Lee claimed 3-26 but it was not enough to see them home.

The other game saw Lindal Moor beat Vickerstown by six wickets.

In Division Two, Kirkby, in first, soon lost both openers, but then dominated the Cleator attack.

Rob Fugler made an unbeaten 102, Matthew Bruce 59 not out, and Mike Fugler 58. Kirkby totalled 256-3 in their 50 overs.

After tea, Cleator II opener Steven Wishart made 68, but the other four in the top order only made 22.

It was left to the lower order to get the home side to 206-8 before overs ran out. Kirkby’s Michael Etchells took 3-36 in his 15 overs.

Batting first against Egremont, only Greg Barnes, with 67, and Aidan Little, 35 not out, got Cockermouth to 139 all out in the 41st over. Egremont’s James Bostock took 4-18 in six overs.

Egremont will be unhappy with their reply, being all out in the 39th order for 75, only skipper Dave Raynor with 25 got into double figures. Mark Cowen, 4-14 and Andrew Dodds, 3-8, helped Cockermouth to a comfortable win.

It was a tight game between Hawcoat Park and Furness II with the former just sneaking home.

Hawcoat were 204 all out and Furness just ran out of overs in their chase, closing on 202-9.

In Division Three, Ulverston were in first but could only manage 39 all out as Whitehaven II's Luke Blaney claimed 4-4.

Whitehaven then went on to win by 10 wickets in making 40-0, Charlie Minshaw carried his bat for 25.

Egremont A beat Millom after the latter were all out for 69.
