Thomas Coyle could make his long-awaited comeback this weekend as Haven travel to the capital to take on London Broncos.

Coyle went under the knife earlier in the season to correct a knee problem but has been recovering well and could be in line for selection.

That would be a welcome boost for his brother, coach James Coyle, who's squad has been stretched by recent injury worries.

Assistant coach Gary Broadbent said: "There is a good chance that Thomas will be back and potentially come into the frame for London.

"We have picked up a couple of injuries so he would be a welcome addition."

Broadbent also indicated that Widnes may make a couple more dual registration players available to Haven for the long trip.

"We know everyone picks up injuries and you have to have the squad to deal with that and we are not quite there on numbers," he admitted.

"We are always looking to see if we need to bring players in or if we can bring them in. But we don't hide behind the fact it is a geographical struggle because of where we are.

"But we will have 17 fit bodies to take to London. We will travel down on Saturday before the match on Sunday and hopefully we can spring a surprise."

Jordan Burns was named on the bench for last weekend's disappointing defeat at the hands of Dewsbury but the three-quarter was not fit to play.

And Broadbent indicated he would not be used this weekend, with question marks also hanging over the fitness of Dion Aiye and Jessie Joe Parker.

"Jordan was on the bench on Saturday and full credit to him for making himself available to play despite not being right," said Broadbent.

"But we need to rest him so I don't think he will be right for this weekend. We will assess Jessie and Dion through the week and see if their injuries go between now and Sunday."

Haven will hope to put last weekend's loss behind them in London but Broadbent said it would be tough to topple the Broncos.

"Every game is difficult in this league but we pushed London close at home a few weeks ago," he said.

"But the table doesn't lie and they are where they are because they are winning games. They are coming into the game on the back of a defeat by Featherstone so they will be looking to put it right."
