Ben Davies is hoping to be back to bolster the Haven ranks on Saturday as they tackle Featherstone Rovers at the Recreation Ground, ko 6.30pm.

The powerful forward has been out of action with an ankle injury but coach James Coyle is hoping he will return to action this weekend.

"We are hoping Ben will be back. We will test him tonight at training and if he is fine then he will come into contention," said Coyle.

And in another boost it is hoped that Craig Calvert will have recovered from a chest infection and will be ready to return, as will Stephen Fox.

Fox has been to see the neuro surgeon this week after taking a couple of knocks to the head but he was given the all-clear on Tuesday.

"There are strict guidelines we have to follow now after knocks to the head and we got him in to see a surgeon on Tuesday," said Coyle.

"He got the all clear which is a bonus for us and great for him, it puts his mind at rest and he will now be available."

But unfortunately Richie Beaumont and Scott McAvoy are still out of contention, as is Sam Brooks.

Beaumont is still struggling with a back problem and it could be another four weeks before McAvoy is ready to return. Brooks suffered a head injury and has been ruled out by the doctor.

Coyle is also waiting to see what players are available from Widnes as he aims for victory over Rovers to try and claw out of the increasingly tight fight at the bottom of the Championship table.
