Whitehaven half-back Dion Aiye picked up a number of awards, including Player of the Year, at the club's annual presentation evening.

The Papua New Guinea star signed for Haven at the start of the year and became an instant fan favourite as he made 30 appearances, scoring 12 tries, in 2015.

As well as picking up the Player of the Year award, Aiye won Supporters' Player of the Year and Try of the Year for his superb 80-metre break in the final game of the season against Doncaster which saw Haven confirm their place in the Championship.

Aiye is currently in Papua New Guinea and half-back partner Grant Gore accepted the Player of the Year award on his behalf.

Haven captain Scott McAvoy was awarded Away Supporters Player of the Year and Directors' Player of the Year.

Fresh from his Scotland debut Sam Brooks picked up the Young Player of the Year award, having started 2015 in League One at Rochdale Hornets and ending his season with an international call-up.

The JD Raaz Trophy for Clubman of the Year, the first time the award had been presented, was awarded to the club’s ground staff for their work throughout the year.

Stalwart James Robinson picked up the award for Champagne Moment of the Season for his two successful conversions, including one from the touchline, in his final professional appearance in the season-ending game against Doncaster.

All the awards were presented by former Whitehaven star Reg Dunn who spent two seasons at the club in the early 1990s.
