This was an extremely tight U8 game which could have gone either way.
Whitehaven managed to take the points through a first-half goal.
There were strong performances for Workington by Joe McCartney, Kenneth Farris-Derbyshire, Jack Beddoe and keeper Ryan Martin.
Calder Lions 5

In very difficult conditions this was an evenly contested game U10 division three played on Calder’s heavy pitch.
The game started with end-to-end football, Calder taking the lead and Ryan Gorley equalising just before half time.
The second half was much the same with Calder again taking the lead. Thomas White drew Cockermouth level but Calder responded with another two goals.
Gorley pulled a goal back but Calder added a fifth before Shay Tinnion made the final score 5-4 to Calder.
Cockermouth goalkeeper Jordan Eland was named man of the match after some excellant goalkeeping.
Workington Red Devils 2
Whitehaven Miners 0
Red Devils were soon on the attack with Kieran Mewse, Jon Carl Bryan, Jack Parker and James Atkinson all having shots on goal in this U10 division one game.
Red Devils took the lead when Kurt Scott ran clear but saw his shot rebound off the post. Ewan Robinson was quick to react and slotted the ball in the net.
The Devils continued to press in the second half with the Miners keeper pulling off some great saves.
A great play from Scott clinched the game for the Devils. He broke down the left and played a nice ball through to Logan Potter who blasted the ball home.

Keenan McKenzie and Oliver Simms were on target for Allerdale in this U8 match.

Luke Mitchell scored a hat-trick for Seaton whose other goals came from Ryan Robinson (2) and Ryan Allinson in this U8 game.

A hat-trick from Liam Williamson gave Workington the points in this U10 division three match. Jack Parker and Adam Cowan were on target for the Monsters.

Rovers secured a convincing victory in U12 division two with goals from Cameron Bell (3), Jordan Berwick (2), Aiden Gregory, Connor Greenhow and Daniel Tinnion.
