This U12 clash between two of the top teams produced some attractive football.

Maryport Jnrs 2

Seaton 0

Maryport’s Cuan Hurley won the ball in the Seaton half and gave a good pass to Jamie Blamire who beat a defender and produced an excellent cross which was met by Robbie Gregg who volleyed the ball into the net.

Maryport continued to put Seaton under pressure with a second goal coming from Hurley off a well-worked corner.

This goal sparked Seaton into life and their work rate caused Maryport problems.

Much of the remaining play in the first half was in the midfield with Maryport's Ellis Short and Seaton's Gregg Kerr being particularly noticeable.

The second half was more even with both defences on top. Maryport had the better scoring opportunities, however Seaton’s Man of the Match Daniel Davis kept Maryport at bay with the score remaining 2-0 to Maryport at the final whistle.

Kenneth Farries Derbyshire and M McCartney both scored hat-tricks while there were also two each for O Pickering and R Martin in this U8 game.

This U12 division two game was settled in Rovers’ favour with goals from Grant Park, Jordan Berwick, Aidan Gregory and Cameron Bell.
