The 13-year-old speedster will be competing at the FIM Youth World Cup in the 250cc class in Lamothe, France.
Kyle, of Sarsfield Road, will be aiming to become a double world champion after he won the FIM Track Racing Youth Gold Trophy 125cc in May.
The youngster has been taking part in a three-day training camp from Wednesday to today, and has been placed in the second semi-final tomorrow.
There will be 20 riders from across the world in each of the semi-finals, which will include five races. The top 12 from each semi-final will qualify for the final on Sunday evening.
Kyle’s dad Tony said: “He’s excited and is really looking forward to it, but our aim now is to make the all-important top 12.”
Kyle is the youngest of five British riders competing at the World Cup. Competitors have to be at least 13 to take part in the event.
