A pulsating six-goal thriller went the way of Moor Row United against Maryport in the West Cumbria Youth League's under-12s division.

The 4-2 win closed the gap between third-placed Maryport and fourth-placed Moor Row, while Seaton Juniors United stayed top with an emphatic 9-3 win against Aspatria.

In the other games, Seaton Athletic were 4-0 winners against Workington Wolves and Whitehaven Miners Social just edged Whitehaven AFC Yellow 3-2.

Whitehaven AFC moved level on points with under-13 division leaders Bransty Rangers and Dearham Rangers by beating the latter 5-2.

Cockermouth stayed hot on their heels with a 9-0 victory at Windscale, while Workington Reds White beat bottom-of-the-league Workington Reds Black by the same score.

The only under-14 division fixture saw Seaton pip Whitehaven Miners Social 1-0 to move clear at the top of the league and struggling Cleator Moor Celtic under-15s went down 8-1 at Maryport Athletic in the under-16 division.

Whitehaven AFC Yellow got their first win of the season in the girls' under-12 division, beating Allerdale 4-1, while table-toppers Whitehaven AFC protected their position by beating their Blue side 1-0 and Cockermouth came out on top with a 4-3 win over Workington Reds Diamonds.

In the under-14 girls' division, Whitehaven AFC under-13s moved six points clear at the top by beating their under-14s side 3-0, while Cockermouth were comfortable 5-0 victors against Workington Reds Diamonds Whites under-13s.
