Pack Horse and Seaton Royal Oak provided a cracker in the second round of the Workington Sunday League President's Cup.

There were 12 goals in total as Pack Horse just edged the encounter 7-5 at the final whistle.

Hat-tricks from both Niall McGee and Tommy Whitehead were key to their success, with Scott Whitehead also finding the back of the net.

Royal Oak battled throughout and were rewarded with a brace for Ben Powell and one apiece for Matthew Perry, Andrew Bromley and Leo Holliday.

It was also tight in the clash between Waverley and Salterbeck where just one goal separated the two sides.

Ben Clague, David Blackwell, Kieran Messenger and Chris Sloan got the four goals that saw Waverley through to the next round.

And despite goals from Joe Courtney, Barry Devlin and Kieran Graham, Salterbeck were just edged out of the competition.

Gaslight come out on top of their tie with Highfield 2-1 thanks to goals from Shaun Carter and Dylan Kenny. Holden Studholme got Highfield's lone goal.

There were plenty more goals at Maryport Labour Club as they played host to Deer Orchard with the visitors just claiming the game 4-3.

Robert Cox and Luke Graham both bagged braces to see Deer Orchard home. And there were two goals from Mikey Carruthers for the Maryport side, with Jack Pears also scoring.

Dearham had a more concise win as they welcomed Broughton and won 4-1 with Dylan Elsworth scoring twice to go alongside goals from Max Cummings and Darren Rule.

Broughton's consolation came from Connor Hammell.

Maryport United were the other side to find success in the second round, knocking out hosts Senhouse Street Club 2-1.

Callum Payne and Max Litt put United through with Scott Weston replying for Senhouse.

There were also two first round ties in the same competition and they both provided clear winners.

Firstly Northside had a comprehensive 8-3 victory over Blue Bell with Steven Hampton leading the way with a hat-trick of goals.

Liam McCullough also found the back of the net twice for last season's league champions while John Price, Kyle Galea and Paul Lomas wrapped up the scoring.

Blue Bell did fight back with goals for Colin McAllister, Phil McLuckie and Gary Hewitt.

The other tie saw Sun Inn put eight past Silloth Albion who could only muster two in reply.

Andrew Trestianu picked up a brace with further goals from Will Hodgson, Daryl Creighton, Wayne Iredale, Karl Blackburn, Joe Stewart and Mally Graham for Sun Inn.

Mark Campbell and Paul Glencross replied for Albion.

The final game on Sunday was a league encounter with Workington Reds Juniors holding Red House to a 4-4 draw.

It was a cracker of a game with the result in doubt until the final whistle.

Juniors' goals came courtesy of Aston Reynolds, Cameron Harker, Jamie Burns and an own goal.

Red House replied with a brace for Gary O'Driscoll, and one apiece for Ryan Clubley and Grant Quayle.
