Workington Reds Under-18s will be a late addition into the Workington Sunday League this season.

They will enter into division one this season, starting their campaign in September and playing out of Lakes College, Lillyhall on their all-weather pitch.

They will join four more new clubs with Silloth Albion, Maryport United, Seaton Royal Oak and Highfield all joining the league this term.

However, three teams did depart at the end of last season in Workington Grapes, Thomas Henry and Borough Miners.

The league itself ploughs into action this Sunday when premier division champions Northside begin the defence of their title at home to Pack Horse, formerly Yankees who were promoted at the end of last season.

Northside won the league on the final day of the season with a seven-goal thriller against rivals Blue Bell, who don't play on the opening weekend.

The other top flight games see Broughton host Deer Orchard and Senhouse Street Club welcome Sun Inn.

There have been a number of name changes with several clubs obviously changing their headquarters.

Yankees are now Pack Horse; Seaton Rangers become Gaslight; Voodoo have changed to Red House; Commercial will be known as Salterbeck while Millfield Miners now operate as Waverley.
