Sun Inn lost out in a hard fought Sunday County Cup semi-final at the weekend, going down 2-1 at the hands of Carlisle side Crown Newlaithes.

Ben Jefferson picked up the lone goal for Sun Inn.

Northside were also put out of the competition at the final hurdle, when they lost out to Salutation, also of Carlisle.

Back to the Workington Sunday League and two goals from Greg Quayle resulted in a 2-1 victory for Blue Bell over Deer Orchard. Deer Orchard replied through Brad Jenkin.

Blue Bell managed the victory despite being down to 10 men for part of the game as Darren Bosward was sent off.

Sam Beattie and Gavin Graham both bagged braces for Grasslot as they defeated Borough Miners 5-1 away from home.

Zach Little collected the remaining goal for Grasslot, with Borough's consolation coming from Tommy Allison.

Ellenborough Social and Silloth played out a superb game with chances all round before Social pulled away  to win 4-2.

Daniel Cullen, Jamie Porter, Mark Barlow and Wayne Graham all picked up goals for Ellenborough, while Adam Carr and Jamie Dixon replied for Silloth.

Terry Warrior is racking up the goals for Senhouse St Club. He added another two to his tally against Yankees on Sunday which takes his total for the season to 23.

David Skelton also put two in the back of the net for Senhouse with Andrew Brown completing the scoring as they won 5-1.

Lee Wood scored a hat-trick for Broughton as they defeated Commercial 7-1, with Dave Robert bagging a brace, with one each from Scott Howard and Dan Poole.

Ryan Mahoney picked up the reply for Commercial.

It was a close game between JJ's and Labour Club, with the former coming out on top 3-2.

Macauley Murray bagged a brace for JJ's, plus one for Clyde Tierney. In reply Matthew Saulters and Ellis Gardhouse both found the back of the net for Labour.
