Brighton's west Cumbrian striker Glenn Murray has been linked with a surprise move to Chelsea.
Antonio Conte is understood to be looking to sign a target man and a report on the Plymouth Herald's website suggests the Italian could be looking at signing the Maryport man.
Murray, 34, has helped the Seagulls stay out of the Premier League relegation zone for the majority of the season, currently sitting 16th.
Former Carlisle United, Barrow and Workington Reds man Murray joined Brighton on a permanent basis in January last year from Bournemouth after a loan spell with the South Coast club.
